Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dunya Maumoon requests Israel to heed the international urges to stop the attacks on Palestine and also to respect the international laws of humanity.
On behalf of Maldives Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon released a statement requesting Israel to stop it’s attacks on Palestine. In the statement she urges Israeli military personnel to leave Gaza and to stop the air strikes on Gaza immediately and urged Israel to start peace talks again with Palestine immediately.
She commends the statement released on Saturday by UN Security Council urging the resuming of peace talks between Israel and Palestine، as in November 2012 when both countries ceased fire and agreed to establish peace.
She also urged UN Security Council to use it’s full extent of power to stop the attacks of Israel on Palestine.
She also mentions in the statement that Maldives believe that UN Security Council has to make better decisions now.
Israeli attacks have already martyred 168 Palestinians.
