Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen, on Wednesday, has departed to Qatar on an official visit.
The Minister is undertaking the visit to attend the 2025 Facilitation Conference, organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), taking place in Qatari capital, Doha, from April 14th to April 17th.
According to the Transport Ministry, Minister Ameen will be participating in the ministerial segment of the conference, scheduled for Thursday, April 17th. The segment is expected to see extensive discussions among ICAO member countries’ ministers on strategies to further enhance and strengthen the global aviation industry.
The Minister will be delivering an address during the ministerial segment.
ICAO member states will also adopt a resolution during the conference: ‘Doha Declaration on Facilitation of International Air Transport 2025’.
Transport Ministry said the resolution focuses on measures to further strengthen the global aviation industry. In this regard, the Ministry detailed that the resolution will set down strong policies to further ensure the safety and security of air travel by integrating modern technology, improving the quality of services and protecting the rights of passengers.
