High Commissioner of the Republic of India to the Republic of Maldives Rajiv Shahare called on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dunya Maumoon this morning.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Shahare and Minister Dunya expressed profound desire to enhance India-Maldives relations in the year ahead including exchange of high level visits and hopes to further enhance economic and investment cooperation. High Commissioner also briefed the Minister on the activities planned for the year to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This year, on 1 November, Maldives and India will celebrate 50 years since the establishment of formal diplomatic ties.
Minister Dunya was accompanied by Ahmed Mohamed, High Commissioner designate of Maldives to India and other senior officials of the Ministry.
