Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Ali Waheed has stated that Dhoonidhoo Jail will be demolished and turned to a museum in MDP’s government.
Ali Waheed made the statement speaking at the “To end tyranny” gathering held at Artificial beach.
Ali Waheed said that the jail in Dhoonidhoo is an inhumane place and therefore that place will be turned into a Museum.
He added that government has never shown jails to the citizens.
Highlighting on the discussion talks between parties، Ali Waheed affirmed that President Nasheed will be included in the delegation chosen for discussion and MDP will not step into the discussion room without President Nasheed.
“We will not replace the name of President Nasheed as said by the incumbent government. We will not take out President Nasheed’s name [from the delegation]” said Ali Waheed.
