Education ministry is seeking Maldivian teachers who would be filling the posts that are currently occupied by inexperienced expatriate teachers who are working on contract basis.
The ministry issued an announcement asking inexperienced employees working in the education ministry and other institutions of the education sector to be replaced after giving a three-month notice.
It stated that Maldivians who are interested in applying for the posts can contact respective schools and that they will be hired based on the set criteria.
“Government’s policy aims to reduce the number of inexperienced expatriate teachers,” stated the ministry.
Education ministry announced the search for teachers at Malé, Hulhumalé, Villimalé and thirteen additional schools.
