Islamic Library Officially Opened at Salman Mosque

The newly developed Islamic library at Salman Mosque was officially inaugurated tonight in a special ceremony led by the Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim.
Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed highlighted the government’s commitment to revitalizing mosques through initiatives like establishing libraries. He encouraged Maldivian religious scholars and writers to contribute valuable books to enrich the library’s collection.
Located on the third floor of Salman Mosque, the Islamic library has been upgraded to modern standards, offering a comfortable environment for users. The library currently houses more than 15,000 books.
Dr. Shaheem Ali Saeed praised the collective efforts that made the library’s development possible and extended gratitude to all those involved.
The opening ceremony was also attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The establishment of Islamic libraries in centers nationwide is part of a presidential pledge by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
