The Maldives is seeking assistance from China to train local prosecutors.
During the official visit of Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham to China, this decision was made on the sidelines of the China-South Asia Legal Forum held in Kunming.
According to Prosecutor General’s Office, productive discussions were carried out in joint collaboration of the sector during the meeting with a senior official of Supreme Peoples Prosecutorate of Peoples Republic of China Standing Committee of Yunnan Province .
The discussions also shed light on an MOU to carry out joint efforts on the sector.
