The Maldives government on Tuesday appointed Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC)’s deputy managing director Ahmed Mamdhooh as a deputy minister at the Ministry of Economic Development.
The government had earlier announced plans to dissolve MRDC, and handed over the corporation’s mandates and responsibilities to the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.
Mamdhooh, who is also the president of Maldives Basketball Association (MBA), is now one of four deputy ministers at the economic ministry.
