The People’s Majlis has approved the newly appointed، Ahmed Adeeb، as the Vice President.
During the sitting held this afternoon، the motion was passed with 70 votes in favour. Seven members voted against while 4 abstained.
President Abdulla Yameen nominated the name of Ahmed Adeeb during the sitting held this morning، and afterwards in the early afternoon، Adeeb sworn in as the new vice president.
The new vice president has sworn in as Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed was impeached by the People’s Majlis sitting held yesterday، following the passing of the motion of no confidence against him with 78 votes.
