CEO of the Bank of Maldives Andrew Healy have said that BML will pay a total of 300 million to the state which includes profits from shares and tax revenue.
Speaking at the annual general assembly of BML held tonight at Kurumba Maldives، Andrew said that including the 25% profit tax that banks need to pay to the state and the profit from the shares held by the state، will amount to 300 million Rufiyaa.
Andrew said that، BML will always serve the Maldivian people and that there is no doubt that BML will have positive impacts on the Maldivian economy. He also noted that among the financial institutions in Maldives، BML pays the highest amount as tax to the state.
The bank made 932 million Rufiyaa as profits last year. When compared to 2014 this is an increment of 29%.
