MDP wins all seven Addu seats

The interim results show that Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has won all seven seats in the southernmost Addu City, in the 19th parliamentary election.
According to the interim results, Ibrahim Nazim, the husband of attorney Hisaan Hussain, won the South Hithadhoo seat.
Ibrahim Shareef has been re-elected to the Addu-Maradhoo seat after defeating opposition Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Shereena Abdul Samad by a 126-vote difference.
Mohamed Aslam won the North Hithadhoo seat, Rozaina Adam won Meedhoo, and Ahmed Rasheed won Central Hithadhoo.
Ilyas Labeeb, who was an MP in the 17th parliament, won the Hulhudhoo seat after defeating PPM candidate Mohamed Shahid.
Mohamed Nihan won the Feydhoo seat.
MDP contested in all but one of the 87 constituencies, and the interim results show that their candidates are winning an overwhelming number of the seats.
