President establishes official Dhivehi names for restructured ministries

Following the changes made to the Government's administrative framework on 14 and 15 April — including the establishment of a new ministry and the restructuring of certain ministries — President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has established the official Dhivehi names for those ministries.
This was announced in Directive No. 8/2026 issued by the President's Office today. The designated titles for the restructured ministries are as follows:
Ministry of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology — Dhaakhilee Salaamathaai Masakkaiytherikamaai Fanniyaathaa Behey Vuzaaraa
Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises — Maaleekankamaai Sarukaaru Kunfunithakaa Behey Vuzaaraa
Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Skills Development — Thauleemaai Mathee Thauleemaai Hunaruthah Tharaqqee Kurumaa Behey Vuzaaraa
Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare — Sihhathaai Aailaa-aai Ijjuthimaaee Ehee-aa Behey Vuzaaraa
