Former President and the President of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed’s birthday will be marked with special celebration tomorrow at the artificial beach، MDP says.
People’s Majlis member for north-Galolhu electorate، Eva Abdulla posted a tweet today saying special celebrations will be held tomorrow.
“16:00 – 18:00 – Send him your wishes. 21:00 – 23:00 – Music Show.”
Ex-President Mohamed Nasheed’s birthday is tomorrow، 17th May.
While jailed to 13 years on terrorism charges، ex-President Nasheed had previously received well-wishes from children.
The opposition MDP had been continuously calling for the immediate release of their president، and several countries and international organizations had called on his release as well، stating he was given an unfair trial.
