A man has suffered a broken leg and minor injuries after his motorcycle collided with a bus in Laamu Gan this afternoon.
A source from Gan told Sun Online that 22-year-old Ibrahim Shaheed has been identified as the man injured in the accident, which took place near the new settlement area around 1:30 p.m. today.
“The cycle ran under the front of the bus,” the source said. “The man on the cycle skid from the vehicle and stopped a few feet away.”
Ibrahim Shaheed’s family said that his left femur was broken and that they are trying to transport him to the capital for treatment as soon as possible, as recommended by doctors at Gan Regional Hospital.
The bus driver, also a local, was not injured in the accident. However, both vehicles, the bus and motorcycle, were heavily damaged. Police are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
