Youth Friends has won their third match, winning all the matches played so far in the ‘Hanimaadhoo League 2022/23’ Football tournament, ongoing at HDh. Hanimaadhoo.
In the first match of game week five, Youth Friends won the match against Rooh 3-1 in the match played on Friday. In the second match of game week five, today Uniform will play against Falcon. The match will be played at Hanimaadhoo Football Ground at 1600 hrs.
A total of seven teams participated in the tournament. The teams are Youth Friends, Uniform, Ahulee, Real Star, Rooh, Shield, and Falcon.
The purpose of the tournament is to develop the football skills of the youth of Hanimaadhoo by giving them the opportunity to play football in a competitive environment and producing young footballers in the island and helping them maintain their fitness at a good level.
The tournament was planned by dividing into two rounds. Each team will meet each other twice and the team with the highest points will win the title. This is the first time that a football league is being held in Hanimaadhoo.
