Strong winds this morning at G.A. Gemanafushi has blown off a roof of a warehouse on the island. Director of Administration at the Gemenafushi Council, Mohamed Shiyam told Sun Media that around 10:30 a.m. this morning, strong winds picked up and the island sustained various damages. And so the warehouse of a hotel on the island had it’s roof almost completely blown off. “When I went to that area, the roof of the warehouse was almost completely blown off. And trees had fallen at some houses.” Shiyam said. He said that although the weather has been bad, no one has 0been injured so far.
