A man who was arrested for allegedly harassing female staff working in SJ Mall at Hulhumale’ Phase I has been released from custody.
A video viral on social media shows the man who allegedly harassed the female staff being questioned by police officers. He is seen talking back to the officers in foul language. Several female staff working in SJ Mall are also in the vicinity.
In the video, the man is accused of harassing female staff working in SJ Mall on a regular basis.
The Police, in a message to the media on Monday, said a 55-year-old Maldivian man was arrested in connection with the case late Sunday evening.
The Police added that the man was granted conditional release upon presentation before the court for a remand hearing.
The case is under further investigation by the Police.
