The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed Mohamed Anas as its President.
The PCB board is set up under the Privatization, Corporatization and Monitoring and Evaluation of State Enterprises Act.
Anas replaces Hamdhy Ageel, who was removed from the position by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on February 13.
Prior to his appointment, Anas served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance. He has also held positions as Audit Manager at the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Assistant Director at the Ministry of Finance. Additionally, he has experience as an associate professor at the Maldives Business School.
Anas holds a Master of Business Administration from the Maldives National University and a degree in accounting from the University of Hertfordshire.
