All Health Corporation employees transferred to civil service

All employees of Health Service Corporations, established by the former government, have been made part of the civil service.
An official of Ministry of Finance said that this change was made on 4 November, and that efforts are under way to change the posts and salaries according to the structure of the Civil Service Commission, but decisions in this regard have not yet been finalised.
He informed that Health Corporations have not yet been abolished, but efforts are under way to assess debts and transfer assets.
“The companies will be abolished when that is done,” he said.
The current government has decided to dissolve Health Corporation as they do not add any benefits to the health sector. This decision has been supported by the Cabinet.
