Risk of sea swells declines

Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has said that the risk of sea swells due to high tide has declined.
A Met Office official told Sun Online no flooding was reported from any island today, and it is not likely in the coming days.
“Sea swells may be experienced in central and southern islands, but the chances are very small,” he said.
According to today’s weather forecast, bad weather will be experienced countrywide and winds are expected to pick up to 40 miles per hour during rainstorms. Seas are expected to be rough.
Sea swells caused flooding in some islands in Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu on Monday night.
