Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shihaam have said that there are 300 Maldivian medical students studying abroad.
She said this during a ceremony held at Indian Cultural Center this afternoon to award 4 medical scholarships to Maldivian students granted by India.
She also said that soon the government will announce 900 placements to study abroad under an education loan.
She said that Maldivian students are intelligent and always get good results and that this is good for the future of the country. She further said that placements from medical colleges are received after competing with international students.
Dr.Shihaam said that the aim of the government is to provide maximum opportunities to students to get higher education in various fields.
