The supporters of former President Mohamed Nasheed held a protest-run in capital Male’ today، calling to immediately release Nasheed، who is sentenced to 13 years in prison.
The run namely، “Free Raees [President] Nasheed Run”، was held this evening in capital Male’. Numerous people participated in the run، including members of the parliament، city council and senior officials of opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
The supporters of Nasheed had raised their voice calling to immediately release him، while at the run.
The run was ended near “Raalhugandu” (Surfing) area، where the supporters again reiterated their demand for an immediate release of Nasheed.
Meanwhile، 100 divers protested underwater last week، calling for an immediate release of Nasheed.
