President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared Monday, July 28, 2025, as a Government holiday to commemorate this year’s Independence Day celebrations.
As this year marks the 60th anniversary of Maldives’ independence, several activities scheduled to take place in celebration of Independence Day. In addition to the events scheduled for Sunday, July 27, 2025, the programme also includes significant activities for Monday, July 28. Therefore, the President has declared Monday, July 28, 2025, as a Government holiday.
