President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, His Excellency Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, following the crash of Pakistan International Airlines, PK 661.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“It was with deep shock and sorrow that I received the tragic news of the crash of the Pakistan International Airlines, PK 661, causing the loss of lives of the 47 persons on board.”
“At this time of national tragedy and grief, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives and on my own behalf, I wish to extend, profound sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Pakistan.”
“Please also convey sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.”
