Sheikh Imran criticizes Nasheed’s trial; says trial not following through proper law

Adaalath Party’s President Sheikh Imran Abdullah states former President Mohamed Nasheed’s trial over terrorism charges for kidnapping Chief Justice of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed، is not following through proper legal boundaries.
Imran spoke regarding the matter in VTV’s program last night، he stated “if President Nasheed commits are crime، then he must be held accountable for his actions and necessary action must be taken through adequate legal procedures، but we are not seeing transparency in his case currently، there is no sense of justice in his trial proceedings”.
“Right now، Nasheed’s trial is proceeding، but the law is obliterated and misconducted، we have to enforce proper law into the matter، and we believe in justice and enforce it even.”
Previously Imran had strongly criticized Mohamed Nasheed’s alleged kidnapping of Chief Justice of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed، and stated his party، which had been in coalition with MDP during Nasheed’s regime، was strictly condemning the unjust act. He had called out for legal action against Nasheed over Abdulla Mohamed’s kidnapping، and also asserted to remove Nasheed from power.
Sheikh Imran also stated since the current regime coming to power، several crucial elements in government have taken a turn for the worse، which cannot be ignored at any case. He also provoked citizens to raise their concern.
