Faris, Wadde to represent PPM in all-party talks

Ruling political party, Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has made the decision to participate in government initiated all-party talks; announcing that Dhiggaru MP Faris Maumoon and Thulusdhoo MP Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim (Wadde) will be representing the party in the talks.
PPM made the announcement via its official Twitter account this Monday.
Meanwhile, opposition political parties – Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and Adhaalath Party (AP) – which had previously refused to participate in the talks unless the government fulfilled their conditions – have also announced that they will be participating in the talks.
They haven’t yet announced the party member(s) who will be representing them in the talks.
Another political party – Jumhoory Party (JP) has announced that Deputy Leader of its Parliamentary Group - MP Abdulla Riyaz, Kendhoo MP Ali Hussain, and Mathiveri MP Hussein Mohamed will be representing the party in the talks.
Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) called out for both the Maldivian government and political parties to resume the all-party talks immediately and unconditionally during its meeting on September 23.
