Maldives Police Service, on Friday, arrested six individuals in connection to the death of a 24-year-old man.
The man in question was pronounced dead at approximately 0500 hrs at Gaafu Alif Atoll Hospital.
According to local media outlet Mihaaru, the man reportedly died of a drug overdose.
The six local men arrested over the matter are aged 18, 23, 21 and 20 with two of the apprehended individuals being 24 years old.
The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
