National Security Committee of the Parliament has amended the prison and parole bill so that the former President Mohamed Nasheed would lose the presidency of the party.
In 30th of March even the committee had approved such amendments. However، President Abdulla Yameen sent back the bill without ratifying it.
The law of prison and parole bill passed by the committee states that a man serving a sentence in prison cannot be part of a political party.
