A dead body has been found about 20 miles off Raa Alifushi.
The police said that the body was discovered at 5:40 p.m. today, and due to decomposition, it was not possible to determine the person’s gender.
Police said that investigations are under way, and preparations are also ongoing to bury the body.
The case is under investigation by Maldives Police Serious and Organised Crime Department.
