Commissioner of Police, Ali Shujau has resigned from the post.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed, Shujau submitted his resignation to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who has since accepted it.
Ali Shujau was appointed as the Commissioner of Police on 25 December, 2023. A long-serving officer, he has previously held the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police and also served as the head of the Police Academy.
