President meets Vice President of European Investment Bank

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Vice President of the European Investment Bank, Ambroise Fayolle yesterday.
Held on the sidelines of the fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) agenda currently ongoing in Antigua and Barbuda, the discussion aimed to enhance cooperation and facilitate funding for climate resilient projects.
In a press release, the President's Office stated yesterday that collaboration approaches to fund infrastructure projects on climate mitigation such as seawalls, shore protection, water management systems and renewable energy initiatives were deliberated during the meeting.
President Muizzu had noted the European Investment Bank's continuous support for Maldives and expressed gratitude, further emphasizing the administration's commitment to strengthen ties between the bank and the country, said the President's Office.
President Muizzu and Fayolle had also conveyed their views on renewable energy and adaptability during the meeting.
