A contract to develop a 30-bed dialysis center at Hulhumale’ Hospital has been awarded to Medtech Pvt Ltd.
At a ceremony held at Hulhumale’ Hospital on Tuesday, the contract was signed by Male’ Hospital Group’s CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem on behalf of Hulhumale’ Hospital, and Medtech’s Chairman Ahmed Haikal. According to the agreement, the project must be completed within 90 days.
There are currently 10 beds available for dialysis at the Hulhumale’ Hospital. However, the hospital has decided to expand its dialysis services due to Hulhumale’s growing population.
The project will not receive direct state funding. Instead, Medtech Company will supply the reagents needed to operate the machineries at the dialysis centre and charge for the reagents.
The government is also working on building a new 250-bed hospital on the current site of the Hulhumale’ Hospital.
