Member of the National Council of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)، Mohamed Ibrahim Manik has been arrested near the court.
Mohamed Ibrahim was arrested for obstructing the duties of police among the people who gathered outside Justice Building today while the hearing of detainees arrested for protesting to release ex-president Nasheed at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport was ongoing.
Police inform that he was arrested for obstructing the duties of police near Justice Building while the hearing was ongoing. MDP has confirmed the arrest of MDP National Council member، Mohamed Ibrahim.
Today’s hearing of protestors who were arrested for protesting at the airport was also cancelled.
The hearing which was scheduled for 11.30 am today at Criminal Court was cancelled as the Justice needed more time to research the case.
