HDh. Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital has officially launched telemedicine and endometriosis services as part of its efforts to expand healthcare access in the northern atolls. The inauguration ceremony was held with the presence of First Lady Sajida Mohamed, who officiated the launch of both services.
The telemedicine service will be provided in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and F. Atoll Hospital, allowing patients in Kulhudhuffushi to consult with specialists remotely.

She described the new services as a hopeful and transformative step towards equitable healthcare delivery, especially for residents in remote regions.
In addition to the telemedicine and endometriosis services, a Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Clinic was also inaugurated at the hospital. This clinic was officially opened by Dr. Ahmed Ashraf, Director General of Health Services.
These new services reflect the government's ongoing commitment to decentralizing healthcare and improving specialist service availability across the country.
