The State Trading Organisation (STO) have established Pharmacies in all the inhabited islands of Maldives.
With the recent inauguration of the company's Pharmacies at HA.Utheemu and HA.Thakandhoo on Wednesday, STO pharmacies are now open and servicing in all the 186 inhabited islands.
The project of “Establishing Aasandha accepted STO Pharmacies in all inhabited islands”, being carried out in close cooperation with the government, has resulted in opening new pharmacies in 177 islands. At the beginning of this project, STO Pharmacies were available in 9 islands.
STO informs that they are going to officially open their last pharmacy on the 4th November.
STO thankfully honors the support they are receiving from the health ministry, local councils and the people of the islands, which greatly aided to complete this huge project.
