Economic Minister Mohammed Saeed have said that the investment forum held at New Delhi was very successful.
Speaking to the press during the investment forum, Minister said that the investors were very positive about Maldives and more forums like this should be held. He said that he learnt that more forums should be held in countries like India.
In addition he said that such forums gives a lot of exposure to Maldives and it also advertises the tourism industry of Maldives. He said that while Maldives is marketed as a destination during the forum, other sectors are also marketed during the forum. He said that investors gain confidence about Maldives because of these forums.
More than 400 businesses took part in the third investment forum of Maldives. Sponsors of the forum include Ooredoo, Dhiraagu, STO, Maldivian, HDC, MACL, BML, MWSC, State Bank of India, and Hotels and Resorts Construction Company.
Next year’s investment forum will be held in Doha, Qatar.
