The sea protesters have stated that India will aid them if a crisis happens at sea while protesting.
Speaking in a boat near Dhoonidhoo، the Former MP، Ibrahim Rasheedh has stated that some protestors are willing to jump to sea while others are to endure hunger. He further stated that he hopes that both police and MNDF will attend if a situation arises.
He declared that even though the police and MNDF will not help، India is willing to provide their assistance and the discussion has already been conducted.
“We will be provided assistance from India. Now the discussion has been conducted” stated Ibrahim Rasheedh.
Although a lead MDP activist has stated that India will interfere in domestic affairs، India has not commented on the issue yet.
The sea protest was scheduled to conclude at 6 pm، however there were disagreements between the protestors and the protest is still ongoing.
Reportedly، the protestors in sea protest are holding hunger strikes.
