The President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has presented Youth Awards to 10 recipients. 
The President presented this year’s Youth Awards to recipients at the official function held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE) to mark National Youth Day.
In the field of arts Abdulla Shafeeu, Hisaan, HDh. Vaikaradhoo received the Youth Award during the function held last night.
Shafiu, who is a visual editor of Adhadhu News, has designed the logos of many media outlets. Also he has registered a private company called Encrea and is the art director of the company. He has taken up the entire branding of the SAFF Championship by his company. And he has worked in graphics and visual arts in other sporting events as well.
Moreover, in the field of Humanitarian work Firasha Mohamed, Relief, HDh. Hanimaadhoo received the Youth Award during the function held last night.
Firasha, who works for free to train women and girls to achieve the goals of girl guides, was a recipient of the President’s Award in 2003. Firasha’s role in creating awareness among people on issues like violence against women, internet security, etc. is remarkable.
Among the recipients of the Youth Awards are Sergeant Abdulla Shahuneez of N. Lhohi, Oakidmaage, in the field of empowering youth is included.
Sergeant Abdulla Shahuneez, who works for free (volunteer work), is a young man who is trying to attract young people into leadership. Shahuneez played a key role in the formation of student unions on all MNU Union campuses and did a lot of social work and brought in youth for voluntary work.
