Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race 2015 is scheduled to kick-off tomorrow.
According to the event’s organizer، Dhiraagu، new bibs and T-shirts have been provided to the participants due to the event getting postponed from the initial scheduled date. New bibs and T-shirts have been issued to all the participants who have registered in the event on August 15، 16 and 17.
In addition to this، Dhiraagu had opened re-registration for participants who had not come to receive their respective bibs or T-shirts after 17th August due.
The Road Race event، by Dhiraagu under the slogan “Child Protection” is carried out in 8 different islands of Maldives with the collaboration and assistance of several organizations and associations، in order to instill goodwill and social responsibility of public.
The event has been registered as a globally registered road race event، while the event is open for international participants as well.
Last year’s road race event was participated by a total of 3000 people from 31 different countries across the globe، according to Dhiraagu.

The road race event started back in 2007 with Dhiraagu hosting the first nationwide runners’ rally in association with Athletics Association of Maldives.
