Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem has stated that the former Defense Minister Nazim and the former President Nasheed should be given the justice in the Court without the pressure or the influence of a third-party.
The statement was made in a tweet today which stated that the Justice should be provided in the right way and fairly.
“President Nasheed and Colonel Nazim should be provided justice without any influence and in the right way”
Minister had tweeted several tweets to the current topic. Contents of some tweet states that the cases in the court should not be intervened by the government and Judiciary should impose verdicts accordingly.
Minister further stated that no one should be treated unfairly and even though one does not accept a verdict، one should adhere and obey fair verdicts.
Meanwhile، former president Nasheed has been issued with a verdict of 13 years of imprisonment and Nazim is being charged for possession of dangerous weaponry.
