Tempers flared when Nasheed

Tempers were flared inside the art gallery when two posters of the former president Mohamed Nasheed were excluded from the art exhibition that opened in celebration of the golden jubilee of the Maldivian independence.
Protesters put up board in front of the national art gallery which expressed their emotions and alongside it, were the two posters that were excluded from the exhibition. They were demanding the basic rights granted in the second chapter of the constitution.
But the police stopped the protest. Police media official said they stopped it for safety concerns. No further details were given.
Regarding the matter, an official from the Education Ministry said the ministry did not order to exclude the paintings.
Principal of Feydhoo School said that the paintings were excluded because the slots for the school that submitted were full and because the paintings were “biased”.
