Economic Minister Mohammed Saeed have said that businesses will prosper when employees receive their salaries and other incentives.
He said that some companies hold the salary of their staffs for several months. He said that some companies also give the service charge and other allowances after several months.
He said that when companies do that the staffs will lose motivation to work and their productivity will decline. He said that hence the companies will not be as efficient as they could be.
The minister further said that, delaying the salaries of the employees is something that is forbidden in Islam as well. He said that the employers should realize that their staffs will also need different things by the end of the month.
He urged all companies to give salaries on time so that their companies will prosper.
