Discussions have been held on introducing an additional international airline to Addu City’s Gan International Airport.
The discussions were held between Gan International Airport’s management and Ace Travels Pvt Ltd.
Following the meeting, Ace Travels’ owner Mohamed Firaq acknowledged the challenges at the Gan Airport, but expressed optimism regarding its potential and the opportunities available at the airport. He confirmed that introduction of an additional airline was discussed at the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Gan International Airport’s Managing Director, Mohamed Waheed.
Currently, SriLankan Airlines is the only foreign airline operating scheduled flights to Gan International Airport. Ace Travels is Sri Lankan Airlines’ agent in the Maldives.
