China donates 10 civil vehicles to Maldives

The People's Republic of China has donated 10 civil vehicles to the Maldives.
Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Lixin, handed over the civil vehicles during a special ceremony held at the former waste transfer station in Male' on Thursday evening. These vehicles were donated by Shandong province of China to the Maldives.

Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Minister Adam Shareef received the vehicles on behalf of the Maldives government.
The vehicles are designed to be used for waste collection and other municipal purposes.

In a post on X, Ambassador Wang Lixin expressed her belief that the vehicles will significantly contribute to waste collection and other public works in different cities, making Maldives a more beautiful place.

The Ministry of Health has also signed an agreement with the Chinese government for the procurement of laboratory equipment for 17 islands in the Maldives. Additionally, 1,500 tonnes of drinking water donated by China was brought to the Maldives on Wednesday.
President Dr. Muizzu's first state visit to a foreign nation since assuming office was to China. During the visit, the two countries signed a number of key agreements.
