Bank of Maldives has decided to sell dollars for 500 tickets daily for the next two weeks.
Bank of Maldives said that، in the past week، they sold 500 dollars to 350 travelers daily. The bank have said that in the next two weeks they will sell dollars from their branch near customs area as well.
Statistics show that، so far in this year 39 million dollars have been sold by BML. A statement by BML states that، they have allocated dollars themselves apart from the dollars sold by MMA since in this season a lot of people are travelling abroad.
Bank has changed some policies on selling dollars for tickets. As per the new policy the traveler must go to the bank in person with the ticket. Also those who travel in groups، can get dollars if all the documents are provided.
The CEO of BML said that they have listened to the customers and they are taking steps to provide services requested by customers.
