President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent a message of condolence to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto following a plane crash in South Sulawesi province that killed 11 people.
In his message, President Muizzu said he was deeply shocked and saddened by the incident, which claimed the lives of eight crew members and three officials from Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
Expressing sympathy on behalf of the Maldivian government and its people, the president conveyed his heartfelt condolences to President Subianto, the government and people of Indonesia, as well as to the families of those who lost their lives.
He also extended his best wishes for the success of the rescue and recovery efforts that are currently under way, and expressed solidarity with Indonesia during what he described as a difficult time.
