Youth Friends has won their second match against Falcon winning two matches played so far in the ‘Hanimaadhoo League 2022/23’ Football tournament, ongoing at HDh. Hanimaadhoo.
Youth Friends won the match against Falcon 8-0 in the match played on Tuesday. Ali Amir of Youth Friends was selected as the best player of the match. He scored 4 goals in the match.
The next two match of the tournament will be played during weekend. On Friday Ahulee is scheduled to play against Falcon and on Saturday Real Stars is scheduled to play against Uniform. Both matches will be played at Hanimaadhoo Football Ground at 1600 hrs.
A total of seven teams participated in the tournament. The teams are Youth Friends, Uniform, Ahulee, Real Star, Rooh, Shield, and Falcon.
The purpose of the tournament is to develop the football skills of the youth of Hanimaadhoo by giving them the opportunity to play football in a competitive environment and producing young footballers in the island and helping them maintain their fitness at a good level.
The tournament was planned by dividing into two rounds. Each team will meet each other twice and the team with the highest points will win the title. This is the first time that a football league is being held in Hanimaadhoo.
