President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Sunday arrived in Bodu Thiladhunmathi atoll as part of a campaign tour.
While he is accompanied by former President and coalition leader Mohamed Nasheed, the campaigns trip mainly focuses on promoting main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s candidates for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections.
President Solih’s Thiladhunmathi tour began from Hanimaadhoo in Haa Dhaal atoll where both he and Nasheed were received warmly.
In Hanimaadhoo, both leaders participated in the campaign event of MDP’s candidate for the constituency, Abdul Ghafoor Moosa.
President Solih is also scheduled to open the Detox Center in the island during his visit.
During the tour, President Solih will be touring islands in Haa Alif atoll while Nasheed will be touring islands In Haa Dhaal atoll.
President Solih will be taking part in the massive gathering scheduled to be held in Dhidhdhoo island while Nasheed will be taking part in one set in Kulhudhuffushi on Sunday night.
