President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed attended the 10th anniversary celebration of SanguTV, a privately owned television station in the Maldives. The event was held tonight at Farukolhufushi.
As part of the ceremony, awards were presented to honour outstanding contributions by SanguTV staff. President Dr Muizzu presented the SanguTV Staff of the Year 2024 award to Maahath Hussain Rasheed, while First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed presented the Most Promising Employee 2024 award to Aminath Virusha.
Commemorative plaques were also awarded to staff members who achieved notable success and to individuals who provided valuable support to the station. The President and First Lady also joined SanguTV’s senior management and staff in cutting a specially prepared anniversary cake, followed by a vibrant fireworks display to celebrate the occasion.
Founded on April 30, 2015, SanguTV has maintained a strong presence in the Maldivian media sector. Under the SanguTV brand, they have also been active on online media platforms.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Ibrahim Waheed, along with senior Government officials, media representatives, and a large number of SanguTV employees.
