588 people pay deposits for FDC flats; 909 scheduled for payment

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) states over 500 recipients of the 4,000 flats developed by the Corporation in Hulhumale’ Phase II under the former MDP administration’s ‘Gedhoruveriya’ housing scheme have paid deposits for their flats.
According to FDC, 588 out of the 909 flat recipients scheduled to pay deposits have completed their payments. They are required to pay a deposit of MVR 25,000 for the flats.
FDC, on Thursday, reported that it had begun handing over flats to the recipients via the flat portal. In this regard, the Corporation said recipients will be notified to collect the keys via the portal and SMS.

The first out of the 4,000 flats being handed over are the flats located in Amaan Udhares Tower 14.
FDC said the flats will be handed over after completing finishing work, including the installation of doors, windows, fans and bathroom fixtures, as well as tiling and wall painting.
According to the Corporation, it has completed signing the agreements with 3,000 out of the 4,000 flat recipients. The keys will be handed over once the payment is settled.
FDC did not disclose an exact date when the recipients can enter the flats.
